12 Nights / 13 Days
The spiritual air in the country humbly carries the fragrance of Karma, Dharma and most importantly Forgiveness. A secular country under whose shelter dwells multiple religions in utmost peace and harmony, India can rightly be called the ‘Land of Faith’. Being a religious land, India is home to innumerable temples, mosques, churches, gurdwaras and other religious structures that are included in pilgrimage tours to India.
India’s Great Divide is the Vindhya Mountains. They run from east to west, separating the fertile river valley of the Ganges called the Ganga, from the Deccan Plateau which occupies much of the peninsula of India. It also separates the north, where the predominant languages are Sanskrit – based (brought in by the Indo Iranian herds people about 3,500 years ago), from the Dravidian tongues brought in by a long headed race from the Mediterranean about a thousand years earlier. The South India’s coastal plains are backed by the mountains rimming the wedge of the Deccan plateau. On these plains lie the best beaches in South India. On the rimming mountains, the western and eastern ghats are the tea, coffee and spice lands. Beyond these mountains, in the wedge shaped plateau, are great old cities supported by rich farm lands and a culture that has its roots in the almost historical Kumari Continent from where, they claim, civilization spread across the world. The south is gracious, graceful, Old India. The delightful south almost untouched by invasions throughout its history, the Indian heritage is more intact here than in other regions of the country.
The South India Temple Tour takes you on a visit to sacred temples and religious shrines across the cities of south India. The tour creates the perfect environment to help you discover your spiritual side. South India temples are rich sources of religious teachings and cultural shenanigans. The tour covers all the magnificent south Indian temples. The temples of South India has long been respected by all architecture experts around the world, and revered by the devotees equally. They represent the most flourishing period of Hindu Dynasties as well as the religion. The tour package includes the best known temples of south India, which houses numerous splendid temples scattered in and around the state. Besides, the tour package has been designed keeping in view the choices and preferences of the distinct tourists who prefer to visit temples.
